BioCurate

BioCurate is a joint venture between two of Australia’s leading biomedical research universities, the University of Melbourne and Monash University. The combined research strengths of these universities is world class, covering some of the most debilitating, costly diseases of the modern world.

Established in June 2016 it operates as an independent ‘venture catalyst’ and technology accelerator – fast tracking discoveries in the under-resourced, yet critical early phases of new drug development.

Its purpose is to take these discoveries and attract investors or other commercial partners. BioCurate provides the commercial focus, expertise and funding necessary to drive early decisions, to boost the successful development of new medicines. Its aim is not only better care, but commercial returns and economic growth for the state.
