The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH)

The Royal Children’s Hospital has been providing care for Victoria’s children and their families since it was founded in 1870.

It is the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and provides a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people. It is also the designated statewide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

RCH is internationally recognised as a leading centre for paediatric treatment, teaching and research.  It moved to its current site in 2011 with its campus partners, The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.
